Dr Jimson Olufuye is a graduate of Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Lagos in 1988 where he was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Prize and the College/Faculty prize for the best all round performance. He was also awarded FULL COLOURS for outstanding performance in Chess. He obtained a Master of Technology degree in Computing from the Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2000. In 2007, he was awarded a Ph.D. Business Administration (Strategic Management) by the Irish University Business School, London.

Dr Olufuye worked with private IT firms between 1990 and 1994 after which he started Kontemporary Komputers Ltd in 1995. He has continued to nurture the firm to its enviable position in the Nigerian IT Industry as it maintains long term services for ECOWAS, NNPC, EU, World Bank to mention but a few. Along the line and being a formidable team player, Dr Olufuye was elected Chairman of the Information Technology (Industry) Association of Nigeria (ITAN) Abuja Chapter in 1995 and he was at the helm till 2001 when he was elected Deputy President. In March 2007, he was elected the President of the Association.

A Council member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and the Computer Professionals’ (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN), Dr Olufuye is a leading voice on Information Technology Policy Issues in Nigeria. He has authored many software on process control and automation. He also has three books to his credit - Information Technology Applications, Sincere but Sincerely Wrong & Mohammed My Brother.

He ran unsuccessfully to represent AMAC/BWARI Federal Constituency (Abuja) at the National Assembly in 1999 & 2003 . He however in the process was awarded four Chieftaincy titles by the Fulani, Shere, Tiv & Yoruba communities in Abuja. Dr Olufuye is a recipient of United Nations Youth Ambassador Award for Peace in 2007. He was awarded the Fellowships of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) in 2003 and the Institute of Chartered Management Auditor in 2004.

Dr Olufuye has attended Advanced Leadership training courses in Sun-City, South Africa (2000); Silicon Valley (2003) & Hawaii (2007) in USA.  He has also attended professional conferences in London, Dubai and in Nigeria.

He has served on many Federal Government Committees (Y2K (1999), IT Think Tank (1999), IT Policy (2000), IT Harmonization (2004)); and on the board of many companies.

Dr Olufuye speaks excellent English and Yoruba with some German, Hausa, French & Arabic. He likes meditation, playing Chess, jogging and politicking at his spare times.

Dr Olufuye an IT Specialist/Consultant with 20years experience is also an Area Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He is married to Dns Oki Olufuye, a Pharmacist, and are both blessed with children.
